Introducing KDT2, an elite group of student dancers who embody the mission of KDA: ACHIEVING EXCELLENCE THROUGH DANCE.

KDT2 dancers rehearse separately in addition to their regular technique classes, receiving featured performance opportunities throughout the school year.

AUDITION INFORMATION

Admission is by audition only. Students must be a minimum of 12 years old with 4 years of previous ballet training in order to be considered. Please email info@kailuadanceacademy.com to schedule an audition.

Students enrolled in KDA’s Ballet IIIA and above who have completed the previous school year at KDA do not need to audition, and may sign up when registering for the upcoming school year.

REHEARSAL SCHEDULE 2026-2027 School Year

Monday 7:00-8:00pm (Senior)

Friday 7:00-7:45pm (Junior)

Saturday 1:00-3:00 (as scheduled)

Sunday 3:30-6:30 (as scheduled)

Dancers must be present at every scheduled rehearsal, and are allowed no more than three absences per semester. Dancers who exceed three absences may be dismissed from the program or removed from choreography.

2026-2027 PERFORMANCES

Please note that additional performances may be scheduled throughout the year

DECEMBER 6, 2026: THE SNOW QUEEN

MAY 16, 2027: KDA SPRING PERFORMANCE

  • KDT2 Dancers are selected for their commitment, work ethic, interpersonal skills, versatility, and dedication. Dancers have the opportunity to learn and perform additional repertoire for theater and community performances, including but not limited to solo work and student choreography.

    KDT2 is the perfect opportunity for dancers seeking to expand their skills, develop their performance quality, and receive additional features in KDA performances.

  • Rehearsals are scheduled to take place during the following days and times. Not all dancers will be called to every rehearsal time, and final schedules will be announced in August.

    Monday 7:00-8:00pm (Seniors only)

    Friday 7:00-7:45pm (Juniors only)

    Saturday 1:00-3:00pm (as scheduled)

    Sunday 3:30-6:30pm (as scheduled)

  • Non-KDA Student: $975

    KDA Student (non-Academy): $875

    Current KDA Academy Student: Included in Academy Tuition

  • KDT2 Dancers are expected to honor their commitment to scheduled rehearsal times. Dancers are not allowed more than three absences per semester. Dancers with excessive absences may be dismissed from the program or removed from the choreography.
