KDA’s younger dancers have a chance to sample the “big kid” summer intensive in our signature safe and supportive environment. With daily technique class supplemented by specialty classes such as acting, lyrical, stretching, and more, dancers will expand their horizons and discover all that dance has to offer!

ADAM BORELAND
Adam Boreland has been a part of the professional ballet world for over 15 years. Proud first student of Sell’s Broadway Dance Company. Adam trained at San Francisco Ballet School & Orlando Ballet School. He held professional contracts at Texas Ballet Theater and Orlando Ballet, along with guesting around the United States.
He has been blessed with dancing principal roles in ballet such as Swan Lake, Cinderella, Val Caniparoli’s Lambarena, Glenn Tetley’s Voluntaries, The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Jorden Morris Productions Moulin Rouge & Peter Pan. Adam was also recently on the NBC show “Dancing with Myself” with Shakira, Liza Koshy, & Nick Jonas.

CAROLYN FEHER: Ms Carolyn’s values of respect, support, and kindness for every dancer make KDA a studio unlike any other. Her knowledge, experience, caring, and compassion help dancers work safely to reach their full potential and beyond.
JONATHAN CLARKE SYPERT: Jonathan Clarke Sypert, “a smiling, encouraging dance teacher who makes even the most reticent students feel like they can fly” (Lee Cataluna, Star Advertiser), is from Honolulu, and an accomplished actor, dancer, singer, slam-poet, teacher, choreographer, and hip-hop artist known as iNTREPiD. A longtime friend and colleague of Ms Carolyn!
LESLEA WHITE: Leslea started competing as a soloist at the age of 5 and choreographing professionally at the age of 12. Her training and employment included the University of Arizona under renown contemporary choreographer Mia Michaels, The Edge (Los Angeles), Broadway Dance Center and Hip Hop Dance Conservatory (New York City). Ms Leslea and Ms Carolyn taught together at Punahou Dance School for many years, leading the Dance Awareness Program for grades K-2.
JENNIFER GAGE: Ms. Jennifer has 25 years’ experience teaching all levels of ballet, contemporary, pointe, and jazz. As a teacher, Ms. Jennifer strives to give her students an age-appropriate and level-appropriate class, emphasizing the importance of placement, technique, and detail in order to prevent injury and help our dancers achieve a sustainable relationship with dance. She currently teaches the High Intermediate and Advanced Ballet levels at KDA.
PERFORMANCE: All are welcome to join us for an informal, in-studio showing on Friday, June 13! In addition, Junior Intensive dancers will receive one complementary ticket to attend Kailua Dance Theatre’s annual September Performance!
